$1,500.00

The Only One Of Its Kind That We Can Find

Offered here is a full boarding pass / ticket for a flight on the Concorde - from its last day of commercial flying!  Plus more!

The ticket was issued to Baroness O'Cathain - a prominent businesswoman who was the Executive Director for British Airways.  The flight was on October 24, 2003 and left London's Heathrow Airport at 1:30.  The flight flew out over the Bay of Biscay and returned to London to land within minutes of the final scheduled flight from New York.

The seat location is 1B.  We have located a photo of O'Cathain onboard the flight, seated next to the Duke of Kent, and she is clearly in seat 1B as ticketed.

Encapsulated by Beckett with a grade of 9 Mint and as of the time of this listing, the population of such a ticket is 1, making this a unique aviation collectible.

The slabbed boarding pass is accompanied by a wonderfully boxed gift from British Airways specific to this flight and day.  There is a typed "Travel Itinerary" for Baroness O'Cathain as well as the original receipt for her flight.  There is a small card produced by Smythson of Bond Street to commemorate the flight on Concorde.  Lastly, there is a German-made model of the Concorde.

Research indicates the following regarding the Concorde on October 24, 2003:

In a week of farewell flights around the United Kingdom, Concorde visited Birmingham on 20 October, Belfast on 21 October, Manchester on 22 October, Cardiff on 23 October, and Edinburgh on 24 October. Each day the aircraft made a return flight out and back into Heathrow to the cities, often overflying them at low altitude. On 22 October, both Concorde flight BA9021C, a special from Manchester, and BA002 from New York landed simultaneously on both of Heathrow's runways. On 23 October 2003, the Queen consented to the illumination of Windsor Castle, an honour reserved for state events and visiting dignitaries, as Concorde's last west-bound commercial flight departed London.

BA retired its Concorde fleet on 24 October 2003. G-BOAG left New York to a fanfare similar to that given for Air France's F-BTSD, while two more made round trips, G-BOAF over the Bay of Biscay, carrying VIP guests including former Concorde pilots, and G-BOAE to Edinburgh. The three aircraft then circled over London, having received special permission to fly at low altitude, before landing in sequence at Heathrow.
